Anthony Brignanoicon

I build secure, reliable cloud-native systems and the platforms teams depend on.

Full-stack engineer working at the intersection of DevSecOps, automation, and cloud-native systems.

About Me

I enjoy building systems that are easy to operate, hard to break, and designed to scale with teams. My approach emphasizes automation, strong testing practices, and security as a first-class concern.

I'm drawn to work that sits at the intersection of infrastructure, developer experience, and emerging technologies—whether that's platform engineering, DevSecOps transformations, or exploring how AI-enabled tooling can improve software delivery and operational insight. I enjoy solving ambiguous problems and building systems that grow alongside the teams using them.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me climbing rocks, snowboarding through trees, or exploring new ideas. I value curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connections in both my work and personal life.

Current Role

Senior Staff Software Engineer — Enterprise Platform Engineering

At The Hartford, I lead the strategy, design, and delivery of the enterprise developer platform ecosystem. My work spans CI/CD, security, artifact management, and observability, supporting thousands of repositories and enabling engineering teams to deliver software securely and efficiently at scale.

I drive large-scale migrations (including 11,000+ repositories to GitHub Enterprise Cloud), architect and operate scalable CI/CD and governance platforms, and champion the adoption of next-generation developer tooling. My focus is on automation, reliability, and security as first-class concerns, reducing incidents and accelerating developer productivity across the organization.

  • Led enterprise migration to GitHub Enterprise Cloud
  • Built and operated CI/CD, governance, and observability platforms
  • Rolled out next-gen CI/CD tooling, reducing developer-reported incidents
  • Recognized with the 2023 Enterprise Tech Data & Cyber Award for platform adoption and productivity
